This survey was from a 16 year old student.
This survey was from a parent working full time.
From this task we surveyed people of mostly 15-18 years of age as this is our target audience. However we also interviewd some adults to see what everyone thinks about opening sequences. It showed us the similarities and differences between demographic and elements we could include to attract multiple audiences. Both interviews told me that dramatic/ catchy music is effective in making a good opening sequence. The second interview shows that people still buy DVDs and find films through TV which is important to know when distributing a film. I learnt about what elements of a film make it popular such as comedy. This may sway me to include humour in my opening sequence. It is very important that i engage my target audience and all the people that did my survey were 16 years old. This mean that i will use action elements as they were the most popular and take influence from films such as 22 Jump Street for my film.
