Final Product
Some last minute changes were made to include the director at the beginning of the sequence and to also to connect the typography more with the same sized fonts and styles. Our film is 2 minute 4 seconds long which we think is the perfect amount of time to excite the audience and not bore them.

Representation
The pills next to our character represent him stereotypically as a drug user. Teenagers have a bad press and are steryotyped often. In our story we would show that this is not the case with Thomas because it shows the difficult situation he's been in and why he took drugs.
The voice over in our film shows the regret our main character feels. When he pauses it shows he has strong feelings of regret about what he did on this day. Also the way we formatted it as a call shows he wanted to reach out to someone through this time.

Distribution
Our company wanted this film to be distributed by a minor company and not a major one.
Our managing director said that the film would not have the sole purpose of making profit because it was made to send a message to our target audience about the problems the character in our film faces like depression. Films distributed by major companies such as 20th Century Fox and Paramount have a tendency to lose the message they're presenting as the company only focuses on how to make the maximum amount of profit. Also the large flashy logos of the companies shown at the beginning of the film would take away from the opening sequence. We also don't want the audience of our film focusing on the distributor at the beginning of the opening sequence rather than what is happening in it.
A distributer we had in mind was film 4. They are a professional company that have produced and distributed films like Submarine and Attack The Block. The film Attack the Block is set on a council estate in south London and follows a young street gang as they defend their block against alien invaders. I think that this film clearly shows the main character growing up and taking responsibility for his actions. He turns from a gang leader to a hero during the course of the film. The main characters are some of the most rebellious I’ve seen in coming of age films. It shows a stereotypical representation of teenagers These films were very successful so the audience will straight away have the idea in their head that our film will be well made. The logo animation for film 4 is also very visual and intriguing so could attract the audiences attention. Also the genre of films they produce is often involved with the coming of age genre so we think they are perfect for the distribution of the film.
Because film 4 do not lay out high budgets for films the production would be shared with another company. We made a company logo that would share the film with film 4. This is Stonehenge Productions. Stonehenge is very British and we wanted to convey the British nature in our film. The logo also has a classic design with no flashy animations so shows that our film was made authentically and not involving lots of fake effects.
The company was founded in 1999 after Josh Rosevear, Jacob Bird, and George Phelps met with a dream to start a true British company for making films. They made the first film in 2000 called "Another One" which was released in May winning a golden globe and having a successful time at the box office. In 2004 the company started to sway towers making coming of age films like My View, The Glass Sole and Normal View. These films all focused on a hard hitting topic that related to teenagers in Britain at the time. The logo originally was a picture of Stonehenge that had the name underneath. This changed in 2016 to bring the company to the modern age.

Attracting our Audience
Towards the end of the film the editing also becomes a lot faster with the way we used straight cuts rather than fades. It will attract our target audience because it will excite them as young people are used to quick action more than the older generation.

Editing Diary- 1st january
We added in a sound effect to our production company because it is not animated so we felt in needed to have an effect on it. It also adds to the trademark of our company. We also added the film 4 logo as we felt that this is the minor distribution company that has had the most success in the film industry. Also the bright animation of the company is very visual. We used keynote to create an animation for our title. We chose a type writer theme and also changed the font of it to look more professional. A typical convention of an opening sequence is that the director is shown at the beginning of an opening sequence before the film has started. We decided to add this in during this edit. Another change in this edit was removing the heartbeat sound. The sirens at the end of the scene were more effective on their own and we then leave an abrupt stop to our sequence with a black screen and no sound.
